Sundari Silks & Textiles had racks of bridal collections that never made it past the showroom door online. Here's how a WhatsApp-first wedding-season funnel turned casual browsing into a fully booked bridal appointment calendar.

Catalogue browsing, bridal appointment booking
Wedding season is the single largest revenue window for a saree and textile showroom like Sundari Silks & Textiles, but the buying journey for a bride's family starts long before they ever step inside — they want to see specific collections, colours and price bands on their phone first. Sundari had no way to show that: enquiries came in as vague phone calls, appointment slots were double-booked by hand in a diary, and families who couldn't get a straight answer on what was in stock simply moved on to a showroom with an Instagram page and a WhatsApp number. The busiest season of the year was being lost to competitors who were easier to browse before deciding where to actually visit.
Organised the full bridal and everyday-wear range into a browsable WhatsApp Business catalogue, grouped by collection, fabric and price band.
Ran collection-specific ads driving directly into WhatsApp, so a bride browsing "kanjivaram bridal red" landed in a conversation, not a generic homepage.
Replaced the paper diary with a shared digital slot calendar, letting staff confirm a specific date and time directly inside the WhatsApp chat.
Quick-reply flows qualified budget, wedding date and collection interest upfront, so staff spent their time on ready-to-book families first.
Optimised the Maps listing and added collection photography so wedding-season searches surfaced Sundari alongside its catalogue, not just an address.
Increased ad spend and staffing on WhatsApp response through the two busiest wedding-season months, tracked against booked-appointment volume, not just message counts.
Let them browse before they book. Once families could scroll a real catalogue on WhatsApp before calling, the appointments that did get booked arrived far more decided — shorter visits, higher close rates, less back-and-forth on stock that wasn't available.
Up from roughly 90 unstructured phone calls a month, now flowing through a trackable, catalogue-led WhatsApp funnel.
Structured slot booking inside WhatsApp turned browsing interest directly into confirmed showroom visits.
Pre-qualifying budget and collection interest meant staff time went to families who were genuinely ready to shop.
"Wedding season used to mean a ringing phone we couldn't keep up with and a diary full of crossed-out appointments. Now families browse our bridal collections on WhatsApp before they ever call, and by the time they book an appointment they already know what they want to see. We're getting 640 enquiries a month and our bridal appointment calendar has never been fuller."
WhatsApp enquiry volume is pulled from WhatsApp Business API message logs. Bridal appointment counts come from the showroom's digital booking calendar, compared against the prior season's paper-diary bookings. Conversion rate reflects enquiries that resulted in a confirmed, attended showroom appointment.
